Sales Representative – Building Automation & Controls

Location: Based in New Jersey (Servicing NJ, NYC/NY, and PA)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Representative with a strong background
in building automation and controls. This position will be based in New Jersey and will
involve travel throughout NJ, NYC/NY, and PA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on
experience in HVAC controls, BAS systems, and an ability to build long-term relationships
with contractors, engineers, facility managers, and other stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in building automation and control systems
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
• Prepare proposals, conduct presentations, and close sales
• Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to ensure successful implementation
• Stay up to date with industry trends, products, and competitive landscape

 

Requirements
• Minimum 3 years of experience in sales related to building automation, BAS, or HVAC controls
• Technical knowledge of control systems (DDC, BMS, HVAC integration, etc.)
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
• Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly within the region

 

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with OEMs, contractors, or consulting engineers
• Familiarity with major controls platforms (e.g., Honeywell, Siemens, Tridium, etc.)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Technician with solid experience in
building automation, HVAC controls, and system integration. This hands-on role requires a
strong technical foundation, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to delivering high-
quality installations and service.

 

The Lead Technician will oversee onsite work, coordinate with project teams, and ensure
timely, successful completion of installations and service jobs across New Jersey, New York
City, New York State, and Pennsylvania.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Lead installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of building automation systems
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians
• Read and interpret control drawings, wiring diagrams, and sequences of operation
• Interface with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project success
• Perform system testing, diagnostics, and integration with other systems (HVAC, lighting, security)
• Maintain documentation and assist in programming and system configuration

 

Requirements
• 5+ years of experience in building automation or HVAC controls
• Strong knowledge of DDC systems, control wiring, BACnet, Modbus, and other communication protocols
• Ability to lead field teams and manage multiple job sites
• Proficiency with control system platforms (e.g., Honeywell, Tridium, Siemens, Johnson Controls, etc.)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel across NJ, NYC/NY, and PA

 

Preferred Qualifications
• OEM training certifications or factory training on major BAS platforms

• Experience with energy management systems and integration projects
• Familiarity with programming tools, graphics development, and remote support tools
